Tim Cusick
Head Coach
Tim Cusick is a world-class cycling coach, a leader in data analytics for endurance sports, an educator, and an innovative business leader. As a coach, he’s compiled an impressive history of success and jerseys. His approach to coaching peak performance focuses on the whole athlete and the components of success for the whole athlete.

NAMRITA BROOKE
Master Coach, Nutritionist
Namrita has a PhD in applied exercise physiology and a masters degree in sports nutrition. She is a former head coach of a D1 Collegiate Cycling program and was a podium level competitor in national level mountain bike (ultra, XC, endurance), gravel, and off-road triathlon. She has also raced cyclocross and trail running and duathlon. She is a registered dietitian and leads our nutrition program.
SCOTT MONINGER
Master Coach
Scott's amateur and professional career lasted twenty-six years. Of the 2000+ events he entered, he amassed a total of 275 wins, a record no U.S. rider has come even close to breaking. Scott was the top ranked professional rider in the U.S. twice, first with Coors Light in 1992 and again in 2005 with HealthNet-Maxxis. Scott has been coaching cyclists since 2009.

Kate Johnson
Kate is a USA Cycling Level 2 certified coach and a TrainingPeaks certified coach, and she has earned her power certification through Peaks Coaching Group. She has over ten years of experience with in-person coaching, from the ultimate beginner who's never been on a bike before to age group world champions in Ironman and ITU Triathlon. She values education, expertise, experience, and technology that adds to athletic growth. Helping people reach their goals brings her joy!
Kathy Watts
Cycling has been in Kathy's blood since girlhood; her first ride was a used blue bike with fenders and fat tires (this was before mountain bikes!). Her first ten-speed bike in eighth grade was an orange Schwinn Varsity her parents gave her for Christmas; it took her everywhere and started a lifetime love of cycling, exploring, and adventure.
Jill Gass
Jill is a USA Cycling certified coach and holds a master’s degree in education specializing in athletic training and sports medicine. She's worked and participated in athletics for most of her life, and cycling is her passion. She's coached athletes at all levels, from professional to beginner. As a competitive cyclist, she has held California state and national master’s titles in a variety of road racing disciplines and has set team records in Race Across America events.
Rebecca Durrell
Rebecca has trained and competed in various sports but fell in love with cycling in her mid 20s. Cycling was a whole new world packed with excitement and adventure, which soon changed the course of her career and life. She went on to race professionally with various UCI Women's Continental Teams and became a British national champion in circuit racing. She now takes great pleasure from guiding athletes on their own path of discovery, adventure, and growth.
Shannon Mathis
Shannon is a seasoned coach and cyclist with a passion for health and making cycling accessible to all. She's been competing since 2001, securing multiple championship titles, and with a Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance, she is able to blend academic knowledge and data analysis with real-world experience to create dynamic and effective training programs.
Matt Tague
Originally a triathlete, Matt has also completed in road racing, running, and ultra endurance events, and he's coached athletes through curated fitness adventures. He's worked in the cycling industry for almost 20 years as a bike shop mechanic, manager, and owner. One of his latest adventures is becoming a father, which means he's acutely aware of the struggles many time-crunched athletes are up against. He believes in the transformative power of endurance sports.
Lori Thomson
Lori initially focused her sports career around soccer and became a semi-professional soccer player, and she went on to become a strength coach, a triathlete coach, and then a cycling coach. Even after seventeen years of strength and conditioning coaching, eleven years of movement screening, and twelve years of cycling coaching, Lori strives to learn new ways to improve her coaching to enhance athletes' capabilities. Her goal is to diagnose an athlete's movement to prescribe the optimal path for peak performance.
Len Pettyjohn
Cycling has been Len's all-consuming lifestyle for over thirty years, including riding, racing, team management, and event organization. He has managed three major teams: the Coors Light Professional Team, the Crest Amateur Team, and the Lowrey’s Women’s Team and organized a series of major cycling events, the Mercury Tour, and Saturn Cycling Classic.
Jim Pomeroy
With over thirty-five years of recreational and racing experience, Jim enjoys the potential of utilizing a power meter to make the most efficient use of limited training time. Knowing firsthand how difficult it is to balance life’s demands, he loves being able to share his knowledge and experience to help cyclists achieve and exceed their goals.
Tina Hart
Tina spent years as a daily bike commuter before discovering the joy of using her bike to explore, adventure, and compete. She loves racing hard but also values a good ride with friends or a long solo pedal. She firmly believes in a whole-athlete approach to coaching and training in order to help cyclists push their limits and achieve their goals.
Liz Inglese
Liz's love for sports is why she coaches athletes, lives with athletes, dresses like an athlete, and eats like an athlete. "Cycling is life!" It hasn't always been about cycling; she played tennis for the University of Arizona, ran various marathons, participated in numerous triathlons, and scaled mountains. However, the world of performance as a cyclist and the philosophy of Basecamp to create unique athletes has captured her commitment in making a difference with others.
Emma Grant
Emma is a half Brit, half kiwi born in Oxfordshire, England. Previously an 800m runner, she made the switch to cycling after being scouted by a talent ID scheme called Girls 4 Gold, and she went on to become a pro cyclist and nation champion. In 2016 and 2018, Emma had surgeries to repair her right and left iliac artery endofibrosis, so she understands what it's like to return to training after health issues.
Greg Waggoner
Greg is a former pro racer who's built decades of coaching experience in many environments, from individuals to large teams and communities; he's served as team coach for the Sids Bike NYC Race Team and the Trek NYC Race Team. He enjoys bringing non-racers into events and creating goal events/challenges, but he also loves coaching casual riders who simply want to stay healthy and fit.
Stacey McMickens
Stacey doesn't feel she is a natural talent, but she's made up for it with dedication and enthusiasm. The process of growing and improving in general is what makes her tick. Her personal racing experience has evolved over the years from just trying to finish to winning on multiple different platforms, and she is currently chasing epic adventures. Her abundance of motivation has led to a fully rewarding career in coaching. Her motto is simple: GET FIRED UP!!!
BJ Basham
BJ has been racing since 1983 and coaching since 2004. He provides educational coaching and tries to help his athletes understand how the workouts and program he prescribes will help them on race day. He uses data from his athletes to make the most of each one's strengths for his or her target events. He is also an experienced bike fitter and mechanic.
Karen Mackin
Karen is a lifelong endurance athlete who began studying and practicing coaching skills in the early nineties, and her desire to help athletes grew into a coaching career. She's coached athletes all over the world, from those interested in improving their fitness to those desiring better local and regional performances to national and world championship competitors.
Nathan Goates
Nathan's been racing road, mountain, and cyclocross for over 30 years, though it's not so much about the racing as it is a way to order his life. He loves exploring answers to the question of why we ride, and he loves talking about competition, pushing limits, and the psychological value of doing hard, physical things. He's coached the Shippensburg University Cycling Club for over 15 years.
Paul Jobin
Paul rides and races numerous cycling disciplines as a masters athlete (road, gravel, cyclocross, and mountain bike), and he's familiar with the challenges of balancing training with family and work. He's been riding since 2006, and he's logged 125 cyclocross races and earned multiple CX podiums.
Lorri Lee Lown
Lorri has coached beginner athletes to national champions in disciplines that include road, mountain bike, and cyclocross. She was an early adaptor of training and racing with power, and she's also trained for running with power. In addition to coaching individuals, she's been a coach for the Norcal High School Cycling League and numerous charity training programs, and she has taught indoor cycling and skills clinics. She is also a bike fitter with 20+ years of bike fit experience.
Menachem Brodie
With well over 15 years of coaching experience and a sports-medicine background spanning from Emergency Medicine & Physical Therapy settings, to the NCAA Division I Strength & Conditioning setting, Menachem brings a unique and diverse skill set. Coaching since 2000, Menachem has been working with athletes in a number of settings and a broad variety of sports from basketball and cycling to CrossFit and triathlon.
Brian Hammond
Brian has had the unique opportunity to work with every type of athlete, from beginners to elite riders to athletes with disabilities. Just like the athletes he coaches, Brian constantly pushes his own boundaries; he's competed in a wide array of events, including Ultraman Florida, Ironman races, marathon mountain biking, gravel events, road racing, criteriums, cyclocross, and ultra marathons. His diverse experiences in both coaching and competition enrich his understanding of the challenges athletes face, allowing him to offer invaluable insights and support.
Josh Beck
Josh is a world and national champion athlete who shares his knowledge and experience with the athletes he coaches. He has competed in high school sports, college sports, high-level amateur sports, and professional sports, as well as small business creation (and selling), a healthy marriage, and fathering two boys who keep him moving. He's led teams in athletics and business, and he's coached athletes from elementary school to those in their senior years.

Rebecca is an adventure athlete, a 7x world champion, best-selling author, keynote speaker, activist, and Emmy award winner. She's spent over 30 years chasing firsts that have challenged and shaped her personally and professionally. She's had the good fortune to gain from so many others around her, and she enjoys sharing the most enduring lessons she's learned along the way. She'll share some of those lessons with us as a special guest in BaseCamp.

Keith has taught yoga in the Washington area for over twenty years and has studied both Iyengar and Ashtanga styles. He has made five extended trips to Mysore, India, where he studied with Ashtanga founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. In 2002, Jois authorized Keith to teach, awarding him Level 2 authorization. Keith has since brought the yogic mindset of day-to-day dedication to his life and teaching. Keith’s teaching is also informed by two decades of experience as a massage therapist, and he is certified in Rolfing, a form of structural bodywork. He has worked with almost every body type, from elite athletes to novice yogis to those new to sports and movement.

Mental Skills Coach
Carrie works with athletes and of all levels from recreational to elite and professional athletes. She is a performance and mental training expert, a certified mental performance consultant, and the author of On Top of Your Game: Mental Skills to Maximize Your Athletic Performance. She’s one of the world’s foremost authorities on the mental and emotional challenges of recovering from injury. She co-authored the book Rebound: Train Your Mind to Bounce Back Stronger from Sports Injuries and cohosts the podcast The Injured Athletes Club. She has earned a bachelors in psychology, a masters in sport psychology, and over two decades of experience in sport and performance psychology.
