Ryan's story: Ride or Glide

BaseCamp athlete Ryan Kabat shared his experience at the 2025 Ride or Glide relay race in Fairbanks, Alaska.

On Saturday, I competed in the Ride or Glide relay race in Fairbanks, AK. A quick, 10km race to help offset the costs of local skiers attending junior nationals. I rode the first leg and my partner skied the second leg. Trails were a little soft because of the warm temps (high 40s!), but it was still a ton of fun and we raised over $7k.

My winter BaseCamp jersey arrived on Thursday, just in time for a debut in yesterday's race. I sported the hot dog costume in the picture for the post-race party. 🙂
